When one reads of the brutal killing of 17 ACF staff in August 2006 in Mutur , by the soldiers, and the lack of any coverage in local media suggests one clear thing; and that is there is genocide.

The case of 17 ACF staff was subsequently transferred from Trincomalee to Anuradhapura, to make sure that the Tamil witnesses do not come up and testify to bring to justice the criminal soldiers.

This act of the judiciary, along with the lack of concern by the mass media, shows that the entire Sinhala nation including the politicos, soldiers, mass media and the masses are bent towards criminality.

The only solution is decriminalisation, through a process of punishment and rehabilitation. First the direct offenders and then the whole nation. This has to initiated by the UN without any delay..
