TRO Response to "forfeit" of funds by Sri Lanka Govt.
Responding to the Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL) press release that the State has confiscated Rs. 71m from Tamil Rehabilitation Organization’s (TRO’s) bank account, TRO reiterated its denial of allegations that funds were “mainly used for terrorist activies,” and pointed out that the “GoSL has never produced any proof of these allegations in a court of law and has not brought any criminal charges against TRO,” and that GoSL has consistently denied TRO opportunity to defend against the allegations in the courts of law.

When USA does it or Canada does it we just shrug it off saying it is inevitable. So why can’t Sri Lanka do it? After all who cares when there are like-minded friends around! Tamil psyche is used to being at the receiving end.
Everyone was either mum or laughing when Draupathy was being disrobed in public. That is what is happening to the Tamil nation, in full view of the international community.
When justice is denied the price has to be paid someday.
Human rights violations by successive Sri Lankan governments have gone so far that 'HUMAN RIGHTS' and the international community that supposedly uphold them are insulted.
When I look at the table submitted by TRO all the funds [without exception] came from NGOs. If so, where is the money that was collected from the Tamils around the world?
Secondly, when there was so much need for money in North and East why 71 miiiillllliiiiooooonnnnn was lying in the account for sssoooo lllooooonnnngggggg in the bank?
Thirdly, why the so called 'intelligent Tamils' did not anticipate this forfeiture?
Probably the ‘intelligent Tamils’ did not have annnnny PhDs amongst them to help!
